South Shore Tour

Travel through Grant Park, the city's front lawn and site of Soldier Field; the Adler Planetarium, with its sky dome; the James Petrillo outdoor bandshell, where Chicagoans listen to fine music throughout the summer; the Art Institute of Chicago, home of an internationally renowned collection of Impressionist art; the Shedd Aquarium; and the Field Museum of Natural History, known worldwide for the size and scope of its collections.  Looking over from these sites, you can also see the eighty-story AON Building, faced entirely in white granite.

Then, travel through the South Commons, a new 'close-in' residential community, and through beautiful Jackson Park, where the Columbian Exposition of 1893 was held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of America's founding.

Pass through the University of Chicago, with its elegant English-style architecture, and drive by the Museum of Science and Industry, a tribute to mankind's ingenuity and inventiveness.

See Lake Point Towers, the world's highest apartment building and an architecturally stunning structure of glass and curves adjacent to Navy Pier, Chicago's inland port.  A camera stop will be made at the Museum Campus for its breathtaking view, or at an alternate location.

The tour is 2 hours in length.
