North Side Tour

Travel by bus and see Chicago's Loop, Financial District, Lincoln Park, Wrigleyville, and other highlights on the North Side of the city.

 

Loop and Financial District

 

Tour Chicago's main business section, one of the financial centers of the world and always bustling with activity. See the "Loop" and State Street - the great street where Chicago's fame began. Travel by the striking Richard J. Daley Plaza with its acknowledged masterpiece, the Pablo Picasso sculpture, created specifically for Chicago. Take a ride on Wacker Drive, the double-decked thoroughfare that winds its way under the city.

 

Chicago River and the Magnificent Mile

 

Travel over the Chicago River made to flow backward by one of the world's greatest engineering feats. See the famous white Wrigley Building announcing the beginning of the Magnificent Mile and Michigan Avenue where Chicago's most exclusive stores exhibit their wares. See Chicago's elegant seven-level shopping complex, the renowned Water Tower Place alongside one of the tallest buildings in the world, the John Hancock Center.

 

The Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, and Wrigleyville

 

Travel through Lincoln Park, a thousand acres of greenery, lagoons, flowers, and zoo. See Wrigley Field - home of the Cubs (not on game days) -as well as the Botanical Gardens, Chicago History Museum, Newberry Library, and an Indian Totem Pole. A twenty minute stop is made at the Lincoln Park Conservatory.

 

The tour is 2 hours in length.

Daily, high season, 9:30 am and 1:30 pm; low season, 10 am and 2 pm.

 

No tour on January 1, December 25, Thanksgiving, and Easter.

adults, $25; children (5-14 yrs), $13.
