First Thursdays

Galleries in the River North and West Loop districts keep their doors open their a little later once a month to give you a chance to explore the art scene in these popular neighborhoods. Galleries will stay open until 7pm to allow the public to come and appreciate art after work. First Thursdays are organized by the Chicago Art Dealers Association and take place on the first Thursday of each month, except in January and on any major holidays.
