Scarlet Oaks

Founding members Steve McCauley and Noelle Christine Lothamer met at a pig roast outside of Lansing. Both musicians had come from “rock and roll” backgrounds, but Noelle had never played with someone who had such a strong folk and country influence on their song writing. Likewise, Steve had never played with someone who had such a pension for vocals and harmonies. By combining each of their talents and shortcomings, along with there love of classic American music, the two forged the sound that defines Scarlet Oaks. With the addition of their newest members, Joe Lavis on bass and James Anthony on lead guitar, the line up was complete.
