175 Days to Love Chicago: The Flag and Seal Revisited
175 Days to Love Chicago > Flag and Seal Revisited
The Flag and Seal Revisited is a special additional component of the Pulled, Pressed & Printed exhibition in honor of Chicago’s 175th birthday, celebrated on March 4. This section of the exhibition highlights artworks that riff on Chicago’s flag and the city seal design. New works will be added to this section throughout the run. The exhibit features a brief history of Chicago’s flag and seal written by Tim Samuelson, cultural historian for the City of Chicago.
Pulled, Pressed & Printed, Chicago and The Flag and Seal Revisited both focus on etching, engraving and screenprinting from a variety of Chicago printing presses and independent artists.
The Flag and Seal Revisited will run through May 21.
