Based in a permanent home in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood, The Neo-Futurists are a collective of wildly productive writer/director/performers who create theater that is a fusion of sport, poetry, and living-newspaper. It's a theatrical experience unlike anything you've ever seen before, ranging from funny to poignant. The Neos draw from their own experiences and feelings to generate a fast-paced, immediate and original live experience.
From the nightly showings on the weekends of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, a show of thirty plays in sixty minutes, to their acclaimed prime-time shows, anything seen on the Neo-Futurist stage will intrigue, delight, and challenge your expectations of what theater really is.
Too Much Light is performed every Friday and Saturday at 11:30pm, and Sundays at 7pm. Seating is first-come, first served, cash only at the door -- you pay $7 plus $1 times the roll of a die (so $8 to $13, depending on your luck). Prime time shows and schedules change throughout the year, so for more information, visit the website at neofuturists.org.
