For nearly twenty years Schubas has been host to some of music's greatest talents and has been lucky enough to be the first venue for many very successful acts. The Dave Matthews Band, Death Cab For Cutie, Tori Amos and My Morning Jacket, among others, made their Chicago debut on the Schubas stage.
The last few years have seen Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Decemberists, Rachael Yamagata, Sufjan Stevens and Wolf Parade. Train played 5 sold out nights in January 2004. Later that year Neko Case played 3 nights that were turned into her live album The Tigers Have Spoken. However, not everyone comes and goes, many house favorites, like Cary Pierce and Richard Buckner, return on a yearly basis to appease their hungry fans.
