Step into nature and experience a new, revitalized pond ecosystem in the heart of the city. Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo is home to native fish, birds, dragonflies, turtles and more. Natural shorelines feature wetland grasses and prairie vegetation, and a boardwalk completely surrounds the pond for maximum public enjoyment of this serene outdoor space. The newly naturalized habitat is expected to attract a wealth of wildlife.
Open to the community from 6 am - 11 pm daily, education is a key feature of the Nature Boardwalk. Free, engaging educational programming is offered seasonally between 9 am and 3 pm. Special programs like yoga take place at Nature Boardwalk throughout the summer.
