National Veterans Art Museum

The National Veterans Art Museum, formerly the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum, aims to inspire greater understanding of the real impact of war. The museum collects, preserves and exhibits art inspired by combat and created by veterans. The moving "Above & Beyond" exhibition displays over 58,000 dog tags of those killed in action during the Vietnam War, and recent exhibits take an aesthetic look at issues raised by the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terror.
