Chicago's Downtown Farmstand - Recipes

Look for Chicago's Downtown Farmstand recipes in a bi-weekly column entitled "Low Mileage Kitchen" in the Chicago Sun-Times' Food Section. Created by Judith Dunbar Hines, Director of Culinary Arts and Events at the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, these delicious recipes showcase the freshest seasonal items to arrive in the Farmstand that week. Stop by the Farmstand (66 E. Randolph St.) every Wednesday from 11 am - 1 pm to catch FREE demonstrations of the latest recipes given by JoAnn Relf, an instructor at World Kitchen.

These recipes allow any home cook to experience the joys and benefits of eating and cooking with local, in-season ingredients, all of which are readily available at the Farmstand’s convenient Loop location. Stop by every Wednesday and Friday from 11 am - 1 pm to see and taste what's new at the Farmstand, and take care of your shopping list while you’re there!
