Judith Dunbar Hines
“Cooking can, and should be, fun” is the motto of Judith Dunbar Hines, official liaison between the City and the food and hospitality industry.
Judith also authors a twice-monthly column in the Sun-Times,Low-Mileage Kitchen, where she shares recipes using Midwest-sourced foods and products. |
Chicago’s Downtown Farmstand is a year-round "farmers market" stocking hundreds of products (many of them organic) from within 250 miles of Chicago, including sustainably-grown fresh produce and edibles produced by local companies.
In addition, the Farmstand serves as a downtown hub for the local food experience. Occasional lunchtime programs feature cooking demonstrations of easy-to-make recipes using what is newest and freshest that day, or tastings of specialties from local food artisans. There's always something new at the Farmstand, so stop by today!
