Beverly Arts Center

Founded in 1968, the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, is a not-for-profit cultural and educational institution dedicated to enriching lives through the visual and performing arts.

Located in Chicago’s Beverly and Morgan Park community, the 40,000-square-foot facility offers a 400-seat, state-of-the-art theater complete with orchestra pit; black box theater for smaller productions and rehearsals; main and atrium art galleries; visual and performance art classrooms designed for art; as well as a ceramics studio and dance studio.

 

Events and Programs

The BAC’s programs and events range from fine art exhibits showcasing works by established and emerging artists, and art competitions. 

A distinguished film program includes BACinema, which screens first run, independent and foreign films every Wednesday, as well as the Chicago Irish Film Festival.

An extensive concert schedule presents a wide range of work from jazz to country to popular music. BAC also presents live theater and dance performances.

School of the Arts

The outstanding School of the Arts offers more than 125 classes in each of four annual sessions, ranging from music for infants through children’s and teen programming, and classes for adults and seniors. The school also offers the opportunity for children and adults enrolled in dance, theater, music and improv classes to perform on a professional stage. 

Classes include private and group music lessons, visual arts and ceramics, theater and improv comedy, plus all levels of dance, literary arts, and movement.
