- Park Farm-in-the-Zoo
- Savor the Seasons Taste Education Series
- The Localvore Challenge
- Farmer education workshops
- Scholarships for our farmers encouraging conference and workshop attendance
- The Farm Forager partnership with the City of Chicago working to bring more high quality, locally produced foods to the city
- A membership that helps fund outreach and educational initiatives
- Dedicated volunteers
- An inviting ambiance
- A sense of community.
Green City Market’s incredible momentum comes from its many supporters including conscientious and caring consumers, chefs, restaurateurs and other culinary professionals. It’s also a reflects increasing local concern for a more sustainable food system that preserves the environment for future generations. Supporting local artisan farmers and producers helps address this concern and provides the basis for a regional cuisine. Experience what industry leader Alice Waters has called “the best sustainable market in the country.”
