Lincoln Park Zoo Pegg Notebart Nature Museum |
Located in the heart of Chicago's lakefront - chicagoans of all ages treasure the amazing Lincoln Park Cultural Center. With a number of fabulous attractions as its neighbors (Lincoln Park Zoo, Peggy Notebart Nature Museum and of course Lake Michigan steps away) there's something for everyone.
The Lincoln Park Cultural Center boasts a lapidary and stained glass shop, a ceramics studio, a game room, an auditorium, a dance studio, a full service woodshop and an early childhood center. Chicagoans of all ages are invited to participate in a wide variety of cultural and recreational programming, as well as the special events offered throughout the year.
Throughout Lincoln Park's history, renowned artists, landscape designers, and architects contributed to its development. These included sculptor Augustus-Saint Gaudens, landscape designers Ossian Cole Simonds and Alfred Caldwell, and architects Joseph Lyman Silsbee and Dwight H. Perkins.
