If you are seeking any information about the Mayor’s Office of Special Events or the festivals and events produced by the Office, your request must be in writing.

You may mail your request to:

Your request must be in writing in order for us to properly respond. Please be specific about the information you are seeking. Please indicate in your request how you’d like the information sent to you: Via US mail, email or made available for pick up at our office during regular business hours.

Allow five business days to respond to a non-commercial request; commercial requests will be responded to in 21 business days. You must state in the letter that it is a commercial request.

Information that may be requested by FOIA for the Mayor’s Office of Special Events

1. Film projects in the City of Chicago (excluding locations of film projects prior to completion of filming – protected information for closed sets.)

2. Outside contracts for festivals and events (Cleaning, security, event partners, Port-a-lets)

3. Information related to MOSE produced Festivals and Events (Performer contracts and Sponsorship contracts are proprietary information.)

4. Information related to Neighborhood festivals (however MOSE does not produce these events and does not enter into any contracts related to them.)

5. Information related to Walks and Runs (however MOSE does not produce these events with the exception of Race to Taste and does not enter into any contracts related to them.)

6. Information related to Parades (however MOSE does not produce these events with the exception of the Memorial Day Parade and does not enter into any contracts related to them.)
