Failure to comply with the above may result in entry being denied. All containers will be subject to search. Bicycles may not be ridden on festival grounds.
- Can I bring a folding chair and blanket into the Chicago Jazz Festival?
Yes, but folding chairs are not allowed in the seating area of the Petrillo Music Shell.
- Can I bring a tent into the Chicago Jazz Festival?
Personal tents and canopies are NOT allowed at any lakefront event.
- Can I bring my dog with me into the Chicago Jazz Festival?
No. For your dog's protection and for the public's safety, all dogs are restricted from the festivals and you will be asked to leave the festival with your dog. (This policy is supported by the Anti-Cruelty Society.)
- How to apply to perform at the 2009 Chicago Jazz Festival?
Every year the Mayor’s Office of Special Events accepts music submissions (bio, tapes, cds, photos, etc.) for consideration for the Chicago Jazz Festival located in Grant Park (between Jackson Boulevard and Columbus Drive).
The 2009 Chicago Jazz Festival will take place Sept. 4-6. All unsolicited music submissions must be submitted between October 1 to December 31, 2008 to be considered for the 2009 Chicago Jazz Festival.

No.

Billy Goat, Connie’s Pizza, Manny’s Cafeteria and Delicatessen, Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs, and Star of Siam.
