• Event Operations

The Mayor's Office of Special Events Operations Department is responsible for coordinating the logistical needs of the City of Chicago's internationally renowned downtown lakefront events and music festivals.

• Event Programming

The Mayor's Office of Special Events is a city office designed to present public programs all year round.

• Finance

The Administration, Finance and Contracts Division manages and facilitates the daily operations of personnel, finance/budgeting, procurement, telecommunication, management information systems, and office management.

• Graphics

The Graphics Department creates and designs graphic marketing pieces that help actively promote the City of Chicago and Special Events.

• Neighborhood Festivals Program

The Neighborhood Festivals staff works with Chicago's community-based organizations in the production of summertime festivals designed to celebrate Chicago's many neighborhoods.

• Public Relations

The Mayor's Office of Special Events public relations staff produces and distributes pertinent information to all media outlets including print, radio, television and the Internet which in turn, generates news items, programming and images.

• Chicago Film Office

The Chicago Film Office, a division of the Mayor's Office of Special Events, leads the city's effort to attract and accommodate feature film, television, commercial and all forms of film and video production.

• Corporate Sponsorship

The Mayor's Office of Special Events Corporate Sponsorship Department offers a variety of Sponsorship Packages designed to reach any marketing goal and accommodate any budget.

• Executive Director, Megan McDonald

Megan McDonald was appointed Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Special Events by Mayor Richard M. Daley in March of 2008.

• Protocol

The Department of Protocol functions as the liaison for the Mayor's Office within the Department of Special Events.

• Sports Development Office

The Sports Development Office (SDO) was created in 1994 to support existing sports programs and foster the development of new sports activity in the Chicagoland area.
