If you are a journalist and need assistance with your stay in Chicago, please complete this criteria form.

The Chicago Office of Tourism will contact you to discuss story ideas and specific needs.

Media who request assistance in arranging hotel accommodations need to provide the following:

1. Advance notice of a minimum of two business weeks prior to visit by individual journalists. Advance notice of a minimum of four business weeks prior to visit by three or more journalists. At the time of initial contact, we require a complete list of names and media outlets of those participating in group media educational trips;
2. Letter to Chicago Office of Tourism stating the purpose of the visit;
3. Name of publication or electronic outlet;
4. Letter of assignment faxed on letterhead to 312-744-2359;
5. Copies of two recently published travel articles (print media);
6. A copy of demo reel (broadcast media) and
7. Completed registration form.

Due to limited staff and budget constraints, the amount of assistance provided by the Chicago Office of Tourism will be determined on an individual basis. The Chicago Office of Tourism cannot provide transportation or translators for individuals and/or television crews. The policy of the Chicago Office of Tourism is to assist journalists. We are not in a position to include non-journalist spouses and/or companions.

REMINDER: Do not purchase your airline tickets until hotel accommodations have been confirmed.
