Mayor's Office of Special Events Media Credentials Form

Please read the following guidelines.  

Not all Media Credentials Applications will be approved.

You may submit one request for mulitple festivals by holding control key and highlighting all the events for which you want credentials.

Press credentials and photo passes are limited.

• Not all applications will be approved.  Press credentials and photo passes are limited.

• A photo pass provides access to the front of the stage.  Artists may have additional restrictions on time or number of songs.

• A press pass is preferred seating for writers and reporters.

• Only one photo and one press pass per outlet.

• We will contact you as to whether or not you have been confirmed for a credential.  Those traveling to Chicago will receive earliest notice.

• If confirmed to cover the festival, please be prepared to bring a business card or current by-line in print.

• Applicants must supply copies of recent and relevant coverage.  (Can be clippings from previous year's coverage).

• College newspapers and photographers will have limited access.  Cases will be reviewed and each request must be accompanied by a letter from college or University liaison.  Send materials to Mayor's Office of Special Events, 121 N. • Web zine writers MUST provide specific information about your site in the description section of the application.

• Only Blogs affiliated with media outlets will be considered.

• Some artists' management will have final decision on credentialing.
  
  Please note: Do not contact us offering to be a festival photographer. We have photographers in place already and do not need additional services.
