This winter, check out the Northerly Island sites on skis or snow-shoes. Beginning in December, you can trek around the island on weekends for free, when there is three inches of snow or more. An ID is required to check out the skis/snow-shoes. Note: not available on Sundays when the Bears play at home.

The Parade is organized by volunteers from the Chicago area who care about unfortunate children, promoting motorcycles, and having fun. Toys are given to the Marine Corps Reserve to distribute as well as riders who deliver them to hospitals, orphanages, schools and homes where the need is greatest.
