Tucked away in and around the picturesque 36-acre campus of DePaul University, the nation’s largest Catholic university, are magnificent churches and historic landmark districts featuring beautiful 19th century Italianate, Romanesque and Queen Anne-style homes. The neighborhood is also home to trendy boutiques and restaurants, and numerous live performance venues, like the Victory Gardens/Biograph Theater, Lincoln Hall, and some of the most respected blues clubs in Chicago such as Kingston Mines and B.L.U.E.S.

Few of Chicago's neighborhoods are more accessible, walkable and attractive than DePaul-Sheffield.
The centerpiece is, of course, the DePaul University campus, 36 acres of classrooms, dormitories and student life integrated into a community of century-old red brick and greystone residences on leafy streets.
The school, with more than 25,000 students (triple the enrollment at Notre Dame), is the nation's largest Catholic university. There are campuses scattered about the Chicago area, but most students come here.
