Biking along Lake Michigan

Whether you’re a spectator, a participant or both, Chicago is a great town for sports enthusiasts. We have teams in all of the major professional leagues, along with more than 100 college teams. If you want to work out, the 18-mile lakefront path is a mecca for cyclists and runners.

Along the way you’ll see some of our 33 beaches, plus tennis courts, athletic fields and one of the eight Chicago Park District golf courses. In-line skating, ice skating (in the winter), miniature golf, bowling and every other type of recreational activity are readily available in Chicago.
