Multicultural Chicago Enthusiasts

A mural in Historic Bronzeville

Chicago’s rich mixture of cultures and nationalities makes it a vibrant and exciting city. There are 26 ethnic groups in the Chicago area with at least 25,000 members each. Some 132 languages are spoken in Chicago, and there are at least 130 foreign-language media outlets.

We have ethnic restaurants of every type, an ethnic parade or festival almost every weekend in the summer.

Cultural institutions abound in Chicago, including the National Museum of Mexican Art, Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture, Oriental Institute Museum, and the Ukranian National Museum.
