Robin
Co-Producer at the Second City – Chicago ; Chicago resident for 11 years; lives in the Lakeview neighborhood
What neighborhood do you live in?
We live in Lakeview neighborhood and LOVE it. It has everything that we need as a family – shopping, public transportation, a great library and beautiful Lincoln Park which includes miniature golf and tennis courts. We are also close to Belmont Harbor and Lake Michigan. We spend our summers biking, picnicking and finding every excuse possible to be outside.
What is your favorite thing about Chicago?
I love that Chicago makes art a priority. In Chicago, the arts aren’t seen as something extra that only rich people can enjoy – they are treated as experiences that everyone can access.
Where do you like to go for fun?
I like to go to Wilde on Broadway for dinner and with my family. I also love going to the Museum of Science and Industry including a walk through the Japanese Gardens in Jackson Park.
What is your favorite place for hot dogs?
Chub a Dub Dub on Broadway (3021 N. Broadway) – delicious, quick and a great sidewalk café.
Favorite pizza place?
I love Leona’s Pizza on Sheffield. It is so thin and so sweet – I wish I could have it more often!
Favorite Chicago tradition?
My family is not sporty but we do make a point of going to see one sporting event a season. We go to baseball and hockey - this year we’re hoping to go see the Bears.
Favorite place in Chicago?
I love Lincoln Park and the Lincoln Park Zoo – they are such a gift to all of us on the north side. It’s really amazing that we have such an incredible green area in our urban environment.
Where do you like to bring visiting friends or out-of-town guests?
To The Second City, of course!
