Visit Garfield Park & Lincoln Park Conservatory

The Chicago Park District is home to two world-class conservatories, located in Garfield and Lincoln Park. You’ll find thousands of plant species on display throughout the eight rooms at Garfield and four at Lincoln, along with the season’s best floral displays. No matter the time of the year, the conservatories are always green and lush. Come out to explore and enjoy.

Chicago Humanities Festival

Chicago artists, scholars, authors, performers and thinkers have gathered each November for the last twenty years to celebrate the power of ideas in human culture. This year’s theme is ‘Laughter;’ and festival events explore the cultural and social facets of this universal human attribute through lectures, workshops, performances and much more.

The statue of the World War I doughboy at Soldier Field will welcome Veterans on November 11.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Chicago honors its Veterans with a Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11 at Soldier Field. Brigadier General Steven P. Huber is the keynote speaker at the free event located at the Dough Boy statue.

This one-night-only site-specific performance event will consider issues around disability and will be created specifically for the rooms and architecture of the Chicago Cultural Center.

61st Annual Mum Bowl

Taking place at the historic Soldier Field, the annual Mum bowl is the championship game for the Chicago Park District Junior Bears program. Admission is free. Take advantage of this opportunity to experience Soldier Field and cheer on these well deserving athletes from our city.
