Chicago’s own legendary Ramsey Lewis headlines a Friday night performance in Millennium Park as part of the 32nd Annual Chicago Jazz Festival.

Celebrate jazz great Ramsey Lewis and his 75th birthday at a free concert in Millennium Park this Friday.  This event is part of the free admission 32nd Annual Chicago Jazz Festival which opens on Thursday, September 2. This year’s festival runs four days in three different venues, including Grant Park, the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park, September 2 - 5.

Sónar Chicago

The acclaimed Barcelona, Spain-based multidisciplinary festival of experimental and electronic music makes landfall in Chicago, September 9-11. Sónar Chicago will present free concerts in Millennium Park and the Chicago Cultural Center that highlight emerging talent and local scenes in North America and Catalonia. This is Sónar’s first major installation in the United States.

Movies in the Parks

Enjoy summer nights at citywide parks with screenings of current and classic movies through September 10 in more than 120 parks. Admission is free, and all movies begin at dusk. Parks will also buzz with a variety of live music events and other performances.
